Spiders
Most spiders are small, inconspicuous Arthropods which are harmless to humans. Their beneficial role in keeping insect populations in check far out weighs the hazard posed by the few spiders that occasionally bite humans. Only two groups- recluse spiders and widow spiders- are considered poisonous to humans.
Many people have a phobia of spiders. However, knowing how to tell them apart, how to prevent them from entering your home, reduces the chances of harm to humans. Spiders are best controlled by eliminating the insects they feed on, and/or eliminating their webbing.

Spider Control
Steps to control spiders:
- Spiders and other arachnids are in general very helpful for our gardens, but they are not so helpful when they enter our homes. Since most spiders are ‘beneficial critters’, it is generally not necessary that you utilize spider repellents or insecticides for spider control.
Steps to control spiders:
- Regularly brush spider webs off the outside of your home with a web removal broom. In storage areas, place boxes on shelves above the floors and as far away from walls as possible.
- Prevent spiders from coming inside your home by sealing the cracks of your home’s foundation as well as any gaps around windows and doors.
- If a need for heavy spider extermination occurs, then you may choose to control them with the a Liquid Insecticide or Dust Product.
